LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech volleyball staff was swept by 11th-ranked Kansas State Saturday afternoon at United Supermarkets Area.
The Pink Raiders (3-9) dedicated 28 whole errors within the match whereas the Wildcats (8-4) had 15. Kansas State took the match 25-16, 25-20, 25-13. Brooke Kanas and Samantha Sanders every recorded 10 kills on the afternoon.
The primary set remained tight till Kansas State used a 5-0 run to take a 16-8 lead. The Wildcats elevated the result in seven on a kill from Kadye Fernholz. Tech tallied the following two factors to tug inside 5, however Kansas State struck again, closing out the primary set profitable 11 of the following 14 factors.
The Pink Raiders confirmed some battle within the second set after falling behind 17-10, Tech started to chip away on the Wildcats lead. With Kansas State up 22-16 the Pink Raiders rattled off three straight factors to make it 22-19, forcing a timeout.
